The computer is a good one. [...] Windows XP Prof was installed and most of the drivers. I have to install the drivers for the IBM buttons to pull up the volume as I have no sound at all, the drivers can be found in the Lenovo site very easy.This notebook came with an practically invisible break in the under cover, that is why a gave it 4 stars.

IBM notebooks have always been great, rugged, meat-and-potatoes type units. This one was no different. When buying pre-owned, I definitely prefer IBM because of the stability of the specification (required to sell into large orgs) and the resulting reliability. Great machine; great deal.

I use the thinkpad as an on-the-go computer to keep in touch with the world and work on the road. This rebuild is so good at all the different tasks I need it for that I may just have to consider this my primary computer. Only downside: short battery life, but I knew this going in. A fast, working computer trumps that short battery life. Great, heavy duty, hard-to-bash computer...great value for a great price!
