You will need a Dell 90W power adapter; my Dell laptop adapter was not sufficient. This is a great product if you frequently use your laptop in one place and want external connections such as speakers, extra usb connections, VGA connection to TV, etc. You don't have to hook up all those cables every time; your laptop easily slips into this docking device and locks into place. Great to use at home and your laptop act as a desktop, easy to disconnect and the laptop is portable again. Works great as a charger if your power plug is broken on the laptop, lot cheaper that repair.
