This drive will read your CDs at maximum 48X speed and is compatible with almost all existing CD formats. Dell CD-ROMs are modified to support readability of the highest quality. It features a tray loading mechanism and a 3-way disc ejection system. A typical access time of 75 ms and a 128 KB buffer ensure fast access to data. The CD firmware is specially modified to allow extraction of high quality audio and data files even from CDs that are dirty or scratched
